AZUSA CLINIC

Azusa Clinic is a thoughtfully designed medical interior project that balances functionality, comfort, and a contemporary wellness-oriented aesthetic. The design centers on creating a welcoming and calming environment for patients while ensuring efficient workflow for staff. The layout includes a clearly defined reception area, multiple waiting zones, patient rooms, a laboratory, conference room, offices, ADA-compliant restrooms, and a dedicated lunch room for staff. Two proposed floor plan options were developed to explore variations in seating arrangements and circulation, allowing flexibility in how patients and staff experience the space. The reception desk features a 48-inch height opening to maintain accessibility and visibility, while hallway and door clearances are carefully planned to comply with medical and ADA standards.

The overall design language emphasizes light tones, natural textures, and biophilic elements to enhance the sense of calm and professionalism. Waiting areas incorporate modular seating configurations, linear benches, and booth-style arrangements paired with ceiling or pendant lighting integrated with greenery, such as hanging plants or vertical gardens. Material selections highlight travertine-inspired porcelain tiles, limestone-look finishes, wood-grain accents, and soft stone marble surfaces, creating a refined yet warm atmosphere throughout the clinic. The façade options further reinforce a modern and clean identity through combinations of marble veil grey finishes, Spanish deco porcelain tiles, or travertine wall cladding. Layered lighting strategies—ranging from recessed downlights and linear fixtures to decorative pendants and wall sconces—provide both functional illumination and visual interest, supporting a healthcare environment that feels efficient, approachable, and thoughtfully curated for both patients and staff.
