Jonathan Wang Design (JWD) is a multidisciplinary design studio founded in 2019 and is based in Los Angeles. Since day one, it has been our goal to provide our clients with spaces that engage the senses and promote well-being through the thoughtful selection of materials, pieces, and colors. Our design philosophy focuses on minimalist modern design that refreshes the senses.

Every thoughtfully designed space starts with a strategy that prioritizes people.
We begin our design process by creating highly detailed 3D images, selecting the best suitable materials, appropriate spatial lighting, and utmost focus on the human perspectives. Through this process, we help our clients see the value of thinking beyond surface-level design and put our attention on the overall human experience that will affect mood and behavior.
Empathy is the cornerstone of design. And for us to reach deep into what our clients want and empathize with it, expect some level of personal questions about your lifestyle and preference. We work closely and collaboratively with our clients to understand and empathize with your specific needs, project goals, and objectives to develop creative, thoughtful, and cost-effective design solutions tailored to your needs.
Jonathan Wang, Assoc. AIA, CID
Founder & Design Principal
Jonathan received a Master of Architecture from the University of Southern California (USC) in Los Angeles and held a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee (UWM). Upon graduating from UWM, Jonathan served as AmeriCorps VISTA at Habitat for Humanity in West Bend, Wisconsin. He helped design affordable single-family homes for Habitat's partner families and Habitat's donation-based retail stores, ReStore.

Prior to forming JWD, Jonathan worked as a project lead designer at award-winning design firms, where he worked on a wide range of project types, including commercial retail, offices tenant improvement, institutional, high end residential, multi-family residential and adaptive reuse projects. His work received multiple design awards and design recognition, including Haworth Charette Design Competition 1st place winner and LAGI 2016 Santa Monica Competition top finalist award with design work featured in the book publication "Powering Places: Land Art Generator Initiative, Santa Monica." He has been an invited design critic & juror at the University of Southern California (USC) & Cal Poly Pomona (CPP) School of Architecture. He is currently a design lecturer at Shanghai-based LAC Studio, where he teaches online design studio classes to undergraduate architecture students overseas.

Danling Yu
COMMERCIAL PROJECT MANAGER
Danling is a highly skilled designer who has been an integral part of our team since 2023. She holds an Bachelor of Architecture from Tongji University in Shanghai and earned her Master’s of Architecture with honors from the University of Michigan.

With a passion for creativity and a meticulous eye for detail, Danling offers a distinctive perspective to every project, ensuring both aesthetic appeal and functional efficiency. Her expertise lies in commercial design, and she currently serves as the project manager for all our commercial and hospitality projects.

Michael Bayran
RESIDENTIAL PROJECT MANAGER
Meet Michael, a licensed architect with more than 7 years of experience in designing single and multi-family residences. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree, bringing a solid foundation to his craft. Currently, he's the dedicated project manager for all of our residential projects, pouring his expertise into each and every one.

As a seasoned project manager, he's all about keeping things organized and running smoothly, guiding projects from the very first sketches to the final construction phase. He's truly passionate about delivering top-notch work and ensuring every project is a total success.]
Wersby Colong
PROJECT COORDINATOR
Meet Wersby, our trusted office admin and project coordinator, with a background in business administration, project coordination and 5-year tenure as a project manager, Wersby brings a wealth of technical know-how and analytical skills to our team.

She's a pro at problem-solving, organization, and project management, with a keen eye for detail and dedication to excellence. She takes on the responsibility of following up with city agencies to ensure timely permitting processing and that all our projects stay on track. Wersby is committed to ensuring the success of every task and project we undertake at JWD.
Andres Milos
SENIOR DESIGN ARCHITECT
Andres Milos is a cornerstone of the office, acclaimed for his award-winning designs and architectural prowess. Holding a Master's in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University GSAPP, along with a Graduate Degree in Architecture and Technology, and a Bachelor's in Architecture and Urbanism, Milos boasts a comprehensive educational background. Recognized with the Honor for Excellence in Design and the Lowerfish Award by Columbia University, his architectural practice in Argentina garnered a Building of The Year Nomination by Archdaily, showcasing his ability to merge innovation with practicality. With over a decade of experience, Milos has been integral at Jonathan Wang Design since 2021, managing projects from conceptualization to construction documentation, ensuring meticulous attention to detail for seamless execution.

Notably, Andres worked on JWD’s high-end residential remodeling projects & over 10 Sunright Tea Studio stores in California & Las Vegas.
Dalmiro Cabrera
SENIOR DESIGN ARCHITECT
Dalmiro Cabrera is an architect with more than 10 years of experience in design. He has extensive international experience both professionally and academically. He holds a Master's degree in Architecture, Landscape and Archaeology awarded by the Universities of Sapienza (Rome, Italy). He has received several national and international awards for his work and developed his professional activity in Argentina, Portugal and Mexico. His field of action ranges from architectural projects, public spaces, and landscape architecture.
Among the awards obtained in his professional practice are the Third Prize in the National Competition for the “Paseo Tres Culturas” park (Argentina, 2023), Honorable Mention in the National Competition for an Interpretation Center (Argentina, 2018) & Second Prize in the Competition for Design of the New Catholic Temple of Chajarí City (Argentina, 2013).

Dalmiro has been a critical design contributor at Jonathan Wang Design since 2022, notably designing over 10 Wushiland Boba Stores and spearheading the Franchise interior design standardization to assist with the brand's rapid store expansion plan.

With adept skills in Adobe editing, video production, and social media management, He craft engaging content that captivates audiences. With a proven track record of success.
Jing Bao
SENIOR ARCHITECT CONSULTANT
Jing Bao is a Senior Design Consultant at Jonathan Wang Design, where she leads technical design and project management with a decade of experience in commercial architectural design. Jing’s expertise spans aviation, museums, and expansive commercial spaces, guiding them from Schematic Design (SD) through Construction Administration (CA).​ A graduate of Washington University in St. Louis, Jing is a licensed architect known for her innovative and practical design solutions. She actively contributes to the American Institute of Architects (AIA), focusing on emerging technologies in architecture. Her work has had a significant impact across the United States, with notable projects in Florida, Texas, and North Carolina.
At Jonathan Wang Design, Jing is recognized for her leadership, mentoring the design team and fostering a collaborative environment, making her a respected and valued member of JWD.
Maria Gonzales
FINANCE MANAGER
Maria is a meticulous and reliable Accounting Assistant with over four years of experience in finance operations. Her expertise in invoicing, bookkeeping, and general accounting supports the studio’s commitment to clarity, structure, and efficiency across all projects.
With a background in cash management, collections, and financial reporting, Maria brings both analytical rigor and a thoughtful approach to every task. She takes pride in maintaining accuracy and organization, ensuring the studio’s creative work is supported by seamless financial systems. Outside of numbers, Maria enjoys continuous learning and contributing to teams that value precision, collaboration, and growth.
Carl Kristoffer Villacorta
PROJECT ARCHITECT
Carl is a licensed architect with a Bachelor of Architecture degree and over six years of experience in the construction industry. He has managed a variety of projects, from small residential structures and commercial establishments to high-rise condominiums. Carl has also led a team of architects, overseeing drafting, design, and project coordination from schematics to completion.

Most of Carl’s projects have been high-end residential structures, where attention to detail, thoughtful design, and quality materials are essential. He believes that great design is a team effort and thrives on collaborating with dedicated professionals.

Carl is committed to crafting designs that are not only highly functional but also enriching to the senses. He emphasizes the importance of truly listening to clients' needs, using architecture as a tool to bring their visions to life in meaningful ways.
Jillian Amacan
PROJECT ARCHITECT
Jillian is an experienced Project Architect with over eight years of practice spanning residential, commercial, office, and retail developments. With a background in design, planning, and project coordination, she approaches each project with a balance of creativity, precision, and functionality — ensuring that every space reflects both purpose and refinement.
Before joining Jonathan Wang Design, Jillian contributed to several retail development projects, where she honed her expertise in spatial design and execution. Guided by a deep attention to detail and a commitment to meaningful craftsmanship, she continues to shape environments that are both visually compelling and thoughtfully resolved.
Gerda Ocampo
PROJECT ARCHITECT
Gerda is an architect with more than 7 years of experience, having worked on diverse projects ranging from healthcare to curating residential and interior fit-out projects. In her previous career, Gerda served as an Architectural Consultant at a government hospital while also being an Associate Architect at a small firm. She has led various projects, ensuring precision in architectural plans, quality assurance, and seamless coordination with contractors and clients.

Gerda’s expertise extends beyond design, with hands-on experience in project oversight and administrative work within a government setting. She has also collaborated with engineers and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, functional spaces that foster community interaction.

Junn Allison Chavez
INTERIOR DESIGNER
Allison is an interior design and architectural professional with over seven years of experience in residential, interior fit-out, and landscape projects. His work spans both local and international contexts, blending technical precision with a narrative-driven approach to design. At Jonathan Wang Design, he specializes in residential and commercial environments, leading design development, material selection, and construction documentation with a focus on buildability, proportion, and the tactile experience of space.
From modular kitchen systems to full-scale interior renovations, Junn’s work is defined by thoughtful detailing and spatial clarity. Each project reflects a balance of logic and story — reconciling constraints, collaborating closely with contractors, and refining every joint and junction with care. Guided by a deep respect for how people move, gather, and feel at home, his design process reveals an ongoing pursuit of spaces that connect the human experience with timeless design integrity.
Alex Lee
STRUCTURAL ENGINEER CONSULTANT
Alex is a licensed engineering professional with over twenty-five years of experience in structural design, review, and construction across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. His expertise spans a wide range of structural systems, including reinforced concrete, steel, and pre-stressed concrete, with an exceptional depth of knowledge in both bridge and building design.
With a career that bridges technical rigor and practical insight, Alex has held leadership roles in industrial petrochemical design and has spent nearly a decade on-site resolving complex structural challenges. He holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University, Long Beach, and is a Registered Professional Engineer and General Building Contractor in the State of California. A member of the International Code Council (ICC), Alex brings precision, experience, and a solutions-oriented mindset to every project — ensuring that design vision and structural integrity move in perfect alignment.
Marc Zhao
DESIGN INTERN
Marc is an architectural designer with a Master of Architecture from Columbia University GSAPP. Drawing from experience in high-rise commercial design, adaptive reuse, affordable housing, and urban planning, he approaches each project with curiosity and precision.
Blending advanced digital tools with a human-centered design ethos, Marc is passionate about shaping immersive, socially engaging spaces that celebrate community and transform urban life.
Jeannie Gan
INTERIOR DESIGN COORDINATOR
Jeannie is a Mandarin bilingual Interior Design Coordinator with over six years of experience in residential, commercial, and retail projects across the Philippines and Singapore. Skilled in design development, project coordination, and client relations, she combines creativity and precision to deliver spaces that are both functional and visually engaging.

Fluent in English and Mandarin, Jeannie excels in bridging communication between multicultural teams and clients. She holds a degree in Bachelor of Science in Interior Design and has also taught Mandarin and art as part time, experiences that enrich her creative perspective and adaptability. Passionate about thoughtful, well-crafted spaces, Jeannie approaches every project with a balance of design insight and cultural understanding.

PROJECT ARCHITECT
Jeff is an architect passionate about creating functional, thoughtful, and well-crafted spaces. With over three years of experience in the construction industry, he has worked on a diverse range of projects from residential homes and mixed-use commercial developments to high-rise condominiums.

His experience spans the entire design process, from concept development and drafting to on-site project coordination, construction administration, and management. These experiences have shaped him into a well-rounded architect who values precision, creativity, and continuous improvement in every project he undertakes.
