BARINGTON HOUSE

Barington House is a profound exploration of modern luxury, where bold architectural geometry meets warm, organic textures. Jonathan Wang Design has crafted a residence that feels both monolithic and deeply welcoming, utilizing a palette of natural stone, warm wood cladding, and expansive glass. The design is characterized by its dramatic interplay of volumes—soaring double-height ceilings in the main living areas create a sense of grandeur, while carefully positioned skylights and floor-to-ceiling windows ensure the home is constantly bathed in shifting natural light. This connection to the outdoors is central to the project, with interior spaces flowing effortlessly into private courtyards and lush garden vistas.

The interior craftsmanship of Barington House reflects a meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to high-end materiality. From the sculptural blackened-steel staircase to the integrated walnut cabinetry, every element serves to reinforce the home’s contemporary identity. The kitchen is a standout feature, designed as a sleek, high-performance culinary hub with waterfall-edge stone islands and hidden appliances that maintain the home's minimalist aesthetic. Throughout the private suites and spa-like bathrooms, the design prioritizes a tactile sense of serenity, utilizing fluted wall panels and soft, ambient lighting to create a refined retreat that redefines the standards of modern California living.
